Niagara pro singles dart league.
Rules/ formats/ playoffs
1...REGISTRATION:
-Registration of $50 must be paid by all players before the beginning of the
regular season to be eligible to play.
-weekly dues of $10 must be paid each week by every player in the league and for
their weekly scores to be accounted for..
2...FORMAT:
-A division will play 5 sets and each set will be 3/5 per set of 501
-B division will play 5 sets and each set will be 2/3 per set of 501
-flip a coin for choice of bull
-each player to throw at the bull will remove darts from the board after each
throw so both players have a clear shot at the bullseye.
-winner of the bull/diddle will throw first in sets 1/3/5 and loser of the
bull/diddle will throw first in sets 2/4.
-players will then alternate all legs in all the sets in each set played.
3...SCORECARD:
-both players must sign and date and complete the scorecard completely after
every match played
-scorecards that are incomplete will not be sent in to be updated and will be
posted on the bulletin board until completed.
-make sure you put the date a match is supposed to be played on the scorecard,
and if it is a makeup put the date the makeup match is supposed to be played on
and not the date you made it up on..
4...BREAKS
-breaks after every 2 sets of play or anytime agreed upon by both players, but
no breaks are necessary if both players decide to play straight through.
5...LEAGUE MATCHES/FORFEIT RULES:
-all league matches have to be played at the host venue
*****Any matches played outside of the hosting venues at another venue will be
grounds for dismissal from the singles league for both players******
-league nights will start at 7:30pm or any time
agreed upon by both players.
-if a player is unable to make it to a league night the player that is unable to
make it out the night of is responsible for contacting their opponent, first by
phone call and text message then if still can't get a hold of player you must
contact the convener of the league and only use Facebook as a last resort as not
everyone has Facebook.
*****if a player is a no show no call this will be a automatic forfeit *****
-a forfeit will be 3 sets and 9 legs for A division
-a forfeit will be 3 sets and 6 legs for B division
-all players will have 5 weeks to get any make up matches done
-if a player can prove they are making a sufficient effort in making a match up
and can prove via, text message screen shot, email etc...With no responses from
the other player and brought to the conveners attention. The convener will make
a decision on whether to give out a forfeit or not pending on proof of
evidence..
-if a forfeit has been issued to a player, both players in that match will still
be responsible for the weekly dues of that match to be paid.
*****the convener will have the final decisions on any conflicts, concerns and
or decisions in the league *****
-all make up matches are to be played at the hosting venue, if matches are not
made up at the hosting venue this will be grounds of dismissals for both players
from the league..
6...DART ETIQUETTE:
-shake hands / fist bump before and after the match
-please allow the other player to finish marking before you throw your darts
-as for leaving your darts in the board there is no rule in stone on this and is
up to the player but is a common courtesy to do so to avoid conflict in scores
shot during chalk and walk..
-any players that are involved in a physical altercation during the league play
will be removed from the league with a 1 year suspension from the league from
the time of the incident.
7...TIE BREAKER:
-all the ties at the end of the season will be done as follows
-if sets are tied then we will break a tie with the legs won
-if legs are tied then we will break a tie with the regular season match between
the tied players, and the winner of the regular season match will win the
tiebreaker
8...SEATING / PLAYOFFS
• First plays last and second plays second last etc..unless there is an odd
number then there will be byes in the first round for players
9...PLAYOFFS / PLAYOFFS FORMAT
-playoffs will be over three weeks with the payouts and awards on the night of
the finals night of the third week..
-playoffs week 1- best of 5 sets (A.div. 3/5) (B.div. 2/3) legs per set
-playoffs week 2- best of 5 sets (A.div. 3/5) (B.div.2/3) legs per set
-playoffs week 3- finals best of 7 sets 3/5 per set both leagues..
